VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death

"For a will and testament is valid and takes effect only at death,"

Example of Jacob to Joseph:

Genesis 48:21 (Amplified Bible)

48:21 And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I [am about to] die, but God will be with you and bring you again to the land of your fathers.

Galatians 3:15 (Amplified Bible)

3:15 To speak in terms of human relations, brethren, [if] even a man makes a last will and testament (a merely human covenant), no one sets it aside or makes it void or adds to it when once it has been drawn up and signed (ratified, confirmed).

Don't be fooled by someone else's statement, that if we do this and do that, we're under the law and grace has no effect on us, but the question to ask, are they more powerful than JESUS's death, who has made the new testament valid and in effect for our days? Of course not.

B. The will and testament has no force or legal power as long as the One who made it is alive

"since it has no force or legal power as long as the one who made it is alive"

John 14:27 (Amplified Bible)

14:27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

JESUS's Peace, the treasured possession He's going to leave with us, not money or riches but His Peace. Peace is therefore more priceless than money or any wealth in the world, think of it, the rich and famous people of the earth always tries to buy peace in the form of drugs and sleeping pills but they can't simply afford it.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Thank You very much LORD JESUS Your death made the new testament valid and effective in our days, now I have your most treasured possession living inside of me, that is You, the King and Prince of Peace.
