Summary: How do we go forth with the mission?

Let’s start with some basic questions. We will then break them down and see what the bible says about them.

1. How do we reach others like Jesus did?

2. What do we do when we are unsure what to do?

3. Where can we go to reach other people

When we look at the life of Jesus we notice that Jesus did not live like other men. All through out the story of Jesus life we see how he lived with his disciples. We also see how when there was an issue Jesus was right in the middle of everything making sure he was where he was needed most. When the disciples were with him he taught them all day and all night. Jesus was always teaching the disciples as they went to the different places and towns.

When we are unsure what to do and what to say, we just need to pray that God would give us the words to say, and the things to do. Additionally, we need to read our bible. If we read our bible and pray God will be able to speak to us through his word. God directs us with his word and when we read it we learn how to be a good disciple.

Where can we go to reach others? When you look around town what are some places that you think people will be that you can talk to about Jesus? What about your neighbors? What about your friends? Unless you know that the person goes to church you do not know if they know about Jesus. So the great commission says we are to go into all the earth and make disciples. It also says we are to baptize them. Why would we baptize them? What does it mean to baptize someone? It is the physical washing away our sins and burying the old life we lived and starting new. We do this as a way of showing others we are no longer held down by our sins but are a new creation in Christ.

Who has been baptized in water? Who would like to be?

Lets pray: Dear god I know I am a sinner. I ask that you would cleans me of my sins. I ask that you would make me a new creation in Christ. And I ask you to be with me forever and help me to do what you have ask me to do. I thank you lord, in Jesus mighty name we pray, AMEN
