Summary: Differences can give birth to trouble. We see God has a plan. Paul confronted Peter about some differences. Unity must be our goal.

DIFFERENCES, DON’T HAVE TO DIVIDE!

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com (YouTube: Wade Hughes)

*DIFFERENCE: not the same, dissimilar, unlike.

DIFFERENCE: HOW MANY KIND KINDS OF CHICKENS ARE THERE?

Around the world there are over 500 recognized species of chickens that vary in color and size. SILKIES are the best pets, Barred rock, White Leghorn, Cornish hens, Plymouth Rock,… BIDDY, PEEPS, CHICK BABY CHICKEN: chick.

HEN: a female chicken, PULLET: female under a year of age. MALE, ROOSTERS, --- have a comb on their head.

BANTAM: small, miniature, LEGHORN AND RHODE ISLAND RED are good egg laying chickens. Each hen can produce between 280 to 310 eggs a year. There are laying chickens, meat chickens, frying chickens, boiling chickens.

THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT KINDS OF CHICKENS, EACH HAS THEIR ADVANTAGES, EACH DISADVANTAGE?

IN THE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP, OR IN THE CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS… THERE IS ONLY ONE KIND OF CHICKEN!

DIFFERENCES FEAR MONGERING: REMEMBER THE LESSON OF CHICKEN LITTLE BREEDING FEAR IN OTHERS.

There was a large oak tree in the middle of the field. CHICKEN LITTLE WAS PLAYING NEATH THE SHADE OF THE OAK TREE. By chance CHICKEN LITTLE was pecking around when an ACORN FELL and hit Chicken Little in the top of the his head. The acorn knocked Chicken Little out. When he came too he had a REVELATION: THE SKY IS FALLING. Chicken Little created a PANIC AMONG THE HENS AND THE ROOSTERS. He had evidence with the knot on his head. He gathered all the chickens around him and screamed THE SKY IS FALLING DOWN AND WE WILL ALL BE DESTROYED SOON.

CHICKEN LITTLE SPELLED OUT THE DOOM OF ALL THE WORLD, the sky is falling in…DOOM and GLOOM will soon be here. CHICKEN LITTLE warns the pigs, the cows and the horses into MASS HYSTERIA…

THE FOXES USES THIS MASS HYSTERIA TO HIS ADVANTAGE. While all are looking skyward the foxes sneak in and the panic and mass hysteria hide the enemy’s plan. Worry, panic and fear seals the fate of the weak.

WE MUST DEVELOP STRENGTH AND COURAGE RATHER THAN TO BECOME A CHICKEN AND LIVE IN A FALSE FEAR. WE ARE CREATING OUR OWN HAPPY ENDING.THE FOXES WILL USE FEAR TO THEIR ADVANCES.

IT IS EASY TO JUMP CONCLUSIONS…WE MUST NOT OVER-REACT TO SMALL ISSUES… DON’T SPREAD RIDICULES RUMORS

EVALUATE YOUR MOTIVES… ARE WE COMPETING WITH EACH OTHER? DO WE FEEL SUPERIOR? HOW ABOUT INFERIOR? WHAT IS OUR STANDARD OF MEASUREMENT?

Do we measure ourselves by ourselves? If I compare myself by the local bootlegger and those in jail I might look pretty good? What about comparing myself with Billy Graham or Apostle Paul?

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.

God made woman not out of the bone of the head? Nor of the bone of the feet? Are we fighting over who will be the greatest? WE WALK SIDE BY SIDE, NOT SUPERIOR.

THE LITTLE BOY WAS OUT PLAYING WITH HIS FOOTBALL.

Proverbs 26:20 Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

21 As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

He would kick the football, then run grab the football and kick it as hard as he could. This soon got old to him. He ran and kicked the football as hard as he could. The football went over the fence into the chicken lot. About that time the boy’s granny called him that his lunch was ready. So the boy forgot his football and went in the house.

The hens were pecking and scratching for worms and food. The ROOSTER CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF THE FOOTBALL. He strutted around the football and stood in utter amazement looking at the size of that football. The rooster went in the hen house and demanded the hens to meet him outside immediately. The ROOSTER DEMANDED AND IMMEDIATE MEETING OUT BY THE FOOTBALL. The rooster exclaimed to the hens. I WANT YOU TO SEE HOW BIG THAT EGG IS! WHAT ARE YOU NOT LAYING EGGS THAT SIZE? WHY? The rooster said: STARTING TOMORROW I AM EXPECTING EVERY EGG TO BE THE SIZE OF THIS EGG! The rooster strutted away. The hens cackled and cackled, that rooster is crazy if He thinks we can lay eggs that size of this egg. Does that dumb rooster not understand if we laid eggs that size it would kill us? SORRY, WE CAN’T DO THAT!

James 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

James 3:16 (MSG) Whenever you're trying to look better than others or get the better of others, things fall apart and everyone ends up at the others' throats.
