VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Discretion and Understanding will protect us.

The WORD of GOD is our guide and manual for righteous living. It's because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST in our lives that we are made righteous not because of our acts but by the Power of GOD that lives in us to accomplish these things for us, Divine effort no more human effort.

"Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe."

Matthew 7:24 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.

2 Timothy 3:15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

B. Protection from wicked people who wants an evil life

"Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted."

If words are twisted so is the person. You can easily know a person by the words that are coming from his/her mouth. A tree can be known by it's fruits. If the words are evil, remember the evil can't be good.

James 3:17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Job 28:28 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And this is what he says to all humanity: ‘The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.’”

Psalms 49:3 (Amplified Bible)

My mouth shall speak wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.

Luke 6:43-45 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit.

A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs never grow on thornbushes, nor grapes on bramble bushes.

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

C. Protection from faithless people who wants darkness ways.
