Larry Walters got tired of sitting around doing nothing. So on July 2,1982, he rigged 42 helium-filled weather balloons to a lawn chair, and lifted off. Armed with a pellet gun to shoot down a few balloons should he fly too high, he was shocked when he quickly reached 16,000 feet- and he wasn’t the only one! Pilots reported seeing, “Some guy in a lawn chair floating through the sky.” Forty-five minutes later when he landed in Long Beach, he was asked why he did it? He replied, “It was something I had to do. I just couldn’t sit there any longer.”

In Luke 15, the Prodigal Son finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired, he said, “I will arise and go to my father...”

When he came to his senses. In other words, when his lifestyle of incessant sinning left him totally bankrupt and hungry, he became a candidate for Salvation and change.

Jesus said in Matthew 5: 3-6NLT “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. 4 God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth.6 God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied.

Matthew 5:3-6TM You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule. 4"You're blessed when you feel you've lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you. 5"You're blessed when you're content with just who you are—no more, no less. That's the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can't be bought. 6"You're blessed when you've worked up a good appetite for God. He's food and drink in the best meal you'll ever eat.

Bill Borden of the famous Borden Milk Family turned his back on fame and fortune and went to China as a missionary. His friends in America thought he’d loss his mind. He’d been missing for days when they found his body in a tent. Under his thumb was a note that read, “No reserve! No retreat! No regrets!

Jesus’ disciples were hurting, depressed and tired, but they remembered Jesus’ command in Luke 24, “Tarry in Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

In Corinthians God’s word say’s, after Jesus’ resurrection, over 400 people saw Him do signs and wonders before His accession.

In Acts 2: 1-7KJ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

Six truths I want to share with you:

1. In vs. 1, Just as Pentecost fully came- God has a fullness for you.

In vs. 2, Just as it filled the whole house- God wants to fill your Spiritual house. (Your body.)

In vs.3, cloven tongues like as of fire- This spoken gift makes you praise loud.

Vs.4, They were all filled with the Holy Ghost- God desires to fill you!

Vs. 5-6, Your infilling will be noised abroad.

Vs.7, The saved and unsaved will be astonished.

Here’s an acorn seed. (Oak tree)

Your life changes as you submit.

Think about it, child of God, “No reserve” - holding nothing back. “No retreat” - never looking back or turning back from what God called you yo do. “No regrets” - a workmen that needeth not to be ashamed.

Don’t just sit there!

Prayer.
