VIII. MAIN BODY:

Proverbs 3:25 (Amplified Bible)

Be not afraid of sudden terror and panic, nor of the stormy blast or the storm and ruin of the wicked when it comes [for you will be guiltless],

Proverbs 3:25 (King James Version)

Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

A. Don't be afraid of sudden fear

"Be not afraid of sudden fear,"

John 14:1 (Amplified Bible)

DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.

1 Peter 3:14 (Amplified Bible)

But even in case you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, [you are] blessed (happy, to be envied). Do not dread or be afraid of their threats, nor be disturbed [by their opposition].

Luke 21:9 (Amplified Bible)

And when you hear of wars and insurrections (disturbances, disorder, and confusion), do not become alarmed and panic-stricken and terrified; for all this must take place first, but the end will not [come] immediately.

Mark 4:40 (Amplified Bible)

He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)?

Faith cannot operate if we will be distracted with fear. Fear is paralyzed if faith is on top. Only one of them must survive and conquer our hearts.

ILLUSTRATION: It's like a see-saw, the other one is buried in the sand when the other is on top, keep our faith on top so that fear will be buried deep in the sand in our life. Keep fear buried in the sand, until we don't see anything of it.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (Amplified Bible)

For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

B. Don't be afraid of desolation of the wicked

"neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh"

Wisdom speaks and gives us a warning that desolation and calamity will come like a whirlwind upon people who rejected Him, Wisdom, who is the LORD JESUS CHRIST Personified.

Proverbs 1:27 (Amplified Bible)

When your panic comes as a storm and desolation and your calamity comes on as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you.

1 Corinthians 1:24 (Amplified Bible)

But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ [is] the Power of God and the Wisdom of God.

Psalms 73:19 (Amplified Bible)

How they become a desolation in a moment! They are utterly consumed with terrors!

Matthew 24:15 (Amplified Bible)

So when you see the appalling sacrilege [the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate], spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the Holy Place—let the reader take notice and ponder and consider and heed [this]—

Luke 21:18-28 (Amplified Bible)

But not a hair of your head shall perish.

By your steadfastness and patient endurance you shall win the true life of your souls.

But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know and understand that its desolation has come near.

Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside [the city] get out of it, and let not those who are out in the country come into it;
