Summary: The eyes of the Lord are on you!

Eyes of the Lord!

Zechariah 4:10”For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."

Good morning! Do you feel insignificant, small and lost? Mark it today, the seven eyes of the Lord are on you! You are the apple of His eye! Do you know that? Rejoice!

After the return of the people of Israel from captivity to their home town Jerusalem, God spoke to two people Zerubbabel and Joshua (not the assistant of Moses) that they would rebuild the Temple of the Lord. The work of the temple started but they were stopped by their enemies and they were mocked, despised and criticized from all sides; yet, the seven eyes of the Lord were on them; to help them rebuild the temple. Mark rebuild! Who said you will not rise again? You will! Your life would be rebuilt! Is it in ruins now like the Temple of Solomon, mark His Words today, it would be rebuilt! Not two eyes friends, but HIS SEVEN EYES were on them! Glory, glory. Glory! I’m excited! Seven eyes are watching you too! To hold you, watch over you, protect you, pick you, lift you up, feed you and set you high on the Rock! While Zerubbabel looked discouragingly at the problems around Him, the seven eyes of the Lord rejoiced to see the plumb line (work) in the hand of Zerubbabel. God looked at the finished point and rejoiced, while we are stuck with a short vision! We say, ‘now Lord’ but God says ‘not yet’. Dear, dear friends, you can never rejoice if you look what lies under your nose, stretch your vision and look ahead at the promised blessings kept for you. Yes, for you! Mature today! Stop being a fast-food Christian! Marinate yourself in His Word, obey Him, correct your life, work hard, be humble, separate quiet time with Him and be sure to be blessed. Stay patient! His Seven eyes are on you!

I guess when Joshua and Zerubbabel went for a walk around the site, where the foundation of the temple lay in ruins, where the stone was covered with rubble and sand; I guess they desperately tried to locate that place, while their heart sank and wondered, ‘where can we get the timber, where can we get the gold, silver, money and labor needed for rebuilding this colossal Temple?’ God watched their thoughts! You want to know His reply, here it is: ‘For behold, the stone That I have laid before Joshua: Upon the stone are seven eyes!” (Zechariah 3:9) Ah, who can hide that foundation stone? God said, ‘my seven eyes are on that stone!’ Give Him a shout of praise today! Do you feel, ‘I have not got a call from that company, though I received an appointment letter? Mark it, trust Him – He would send you to that place! Are you wondering, ‘will I get that visa?’ or ‘will I get married’ or ‘will this crisis go?’ YES, God would restore you! Let me give the lovely scripture that talks about the glorious rebuilding of the temple, before I go further: Zechariah 6:14’So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and FINISHED IT, according to the commandment of the God of Israel.’ It was done!

Job while going through a miserable path of pain, loneliness and loss said: Job 23:9 ‘When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. But He knows the way that I take.’ I reiterate, He knows and He watches all your ways! You may not be able to see Him but He is watching you! I want each one of you to get this into your heart (in fact, your whole system) today that you are perpetually under His gaze! Like a mom who watches over her kid! He has not taken His eyes off you! Yes, 24 x 7! Round the clock! Never say again, ‘who cares for me?’ He cares a lot, lot for you!

The Eyes of the Lord – Part 2

He watches over me!

Job 23:9’ When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him. But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.’

God chose to remain hidden, as his beloved son Job went through persecutions and immense pain for a greater purpose of making him Christ-like in nature and through his patience and endurance teach valuable lessons for all of us. Sometimes suffering in the life of people and their faith and positive response turns into valuable source of lessons for us. After I got saved through tremendous pain and struggle, my entire family watched my faith and got saved too. Though we may not be able to see Him, but His invisible Hands are working on our behalf! Do you hear me? At times, we may wonder, ‘why does God allow such things to come my way, since He is watching over me, why does He not come quickly to bail me out?’ I may not have answers to all your questions, but sure, I can say one thing, “He would turn evil to good.’ Relax!
