In a world filled with daunting challenges, many are too fearful to confront them. David, however, faced a literal giant, despite the fear and criticism from those around him. His question, 'Is there not a Cause?', challenges us to confront our own giants with courage and faith.

Introduction

David, the youngest son of Jesse, was sent by his father to bring food to his brothers who were serving in Saul's army. Little did David know that he would encounter a giant named Goliath, who was defying the armies of Israel. While everyone else was filled with fear and hesitation, David boldly asked, "Is there not a cause?" This question challenges us to confront the giants in our own lives and stand up for what is right.

Main Points

1. The Power of the Blood:

The blood of Jesus is the foundation of our faith and gives us power. It cleanses us from sin, redeems us, and gives us strength. We must have faith in the power of the blood to overcome the challenges we face.

2. Overcoming Lethargy:

Lethargy is a state of drowsiness and indifference that can hinder our progress. We must not allow ourselves to become lazy or indifferent in our pursuit of God's purpose. Instead, we should be willing to make sacrifices and take action against the giants in our lives.

3. Combating Apathy:

Apathy is a lack of interest or concern for important matters. In today's society, many people seem to have lost their passion and become apathetic. As Christians, we must care deeply about the things that matter to God and be willing to take a stand against the giants that threaten our faith and values.

Strategies for Killing Giants

1. Recognize the Threat:

Giants are real and they seek to destroy us and enslave us. We must acknowledge the dangers they pose and understand that there is a cause worth fighting for.

2. Be Determined:

We need to have a strong resolve to fight against the giants in our lives. Like David, we should not let fear or doubt hold us back. Instead, we should trust in God's strength and go forth with courage.

3. Trust in God's Deliverance:

Just as God delivered David from the lion and the bear, He will also deliver us from our giants. We can have confidence in His power and rely on His name to overcome any challenge that comes our way.

Conclusion

The church is not powerless or indifferent. We are a powerful force with God as our leader. By recognizing the cause, being determined, and trusting in God's deliverance, we can slay the giants in our lives and live victoriously. Let us have faith in the power of the blood of Jesus and take a stand against the giants that threaten our faith and values.
