Four Steps To Standing On The Promises

Tonight I want to discuss... The promises of God
It’s an attitude
We have to learn to see past....WHERE WE ARE....to...WHERE WE WILL BE
God will only do what you release him to do
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
1. Vision- See your promises before they get here-
If you know what God said he’ll do....Be still in times of torment
Most Christians melt under pressure.... DON’T KNOW GODS PROMISES
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
What you have now is more than MOSES, DAVID ETC..ever had
Christ saw the joy that was set before him
You can have power for today...If you have a Vision for tomorrow
2. Confidence- Be assured of God’s Promises
Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ
It’s one thing to know what He has said... DO YOU BELIEVE IT
Care more about making a legacy than a living
DO THE THINGS THAT WILL IMPACT TOMORROW
WORSHIP STYLES-- Is it more important to get your way or leave a legacy for the next generation.
3. Hunger- Embrace the Promises
Proverbs 27:7 A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb, But to a hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
The moments we feel bankrupt...Are the moments to grow
Hunger makes us uncomfortable.... Watching Info...OREOS.......
Starving kids on TV.. We Turn
HUNGER MAKES US UNCOMFORTABLE
WHEN WERE HUNGRY WE EAT
If you’re hungry enough.... YOULL EAT WHATEVER
4. Resolve- Let your dreams overtake your memories
I will not lose heart... I will not give up... I will not back down... I will not throw/towl
Don’t let the world rob you... OF YOUR HEARTS DESIRE
For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.
