VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. In crucifixion, Son of Man's honor was manifested.

"The time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory"

the glory is glorious indeed, but the entrance is by the way of the Cross. The Cross carries the shame with it, because during those times, the cross is the capital punishment for the worst criminals of their time, and since the LORD JESUS CHRIST took our place, we are the worst criminals but the LORD JESUS CHRIST made a way for us, so we can be Perfect and blameless in GOD's sight.

Matthew 10:38 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.

Colossians 1:20 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.

There's no other way to salvation except the cross of Calvary, everyone needing salvation from his sins, need to go that way, it's a Must!!

Colossians 2:14-15 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.

In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.

Other religious cult thought the LORD JESUS CHRIST was a failure because He died, but the other way around, He was victorious thru the Cross.

Hebrews 12:2 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

He endured the pain and the shame on the Cross, so that you and I can enjoy the honor of GOD's throne.

1 Peter 2:24 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.

What men treats a shameful thing, CHRIST has embraced as the only way for us to be saved.

And Jesus Christ was revealed as God’s Son by his baptism in water and by shedding his blood on the cross—not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit, who is truth, confirms it with his testimony.

B. Honor of GOD, the Father, manifested thru CHRIST.

"and God will be glorified because of him. "

Luke 2:14 (New Century Version)

“Give glory to God in heaven, and on earth let there be peace among the people who please God.“

Yes, Infinitely Yes, the LORD JESUS CHRIST infinitely pleased GOD, the Father by His crucifixion on the Cross saving us from it, or rather saving us from capital punishment, which is death.

John 13:31-32 (New Century Version)

When Judas was gone, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man receives his glory, and God receives glory through him.

If God receives glory through him, then God will give glory to the Son through himself. And God will give him glory quickly.“
