Before you were born God knew you and formed you. He is concerned with every part of our lives.

Introduction

Today, I want to show you that God truly knows who we are. He knows us intimately and is concerned about every aspect of our lives.

God Knows Us Before We Are Born

Before we were even born, God knew us. He had a specific purpose for each one of us. This means that even before our parents knew us, God knew us. He formed us and created us with a purpose in mind.

Psalm 139:13-16 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be."

God Knows Our Trials and Struggles

Knowing that God knows us should give us confidence and assurance. He knows every trial, struggle, and temptation we face. He knows our family situations, financial difficulties, and everything else we go through. He promises to never leave us or forsake us. He knows what is best for us, even better than we do.

God Has a Purpose for Us

God's knowledge of us should also remind us that we have a purpose in life. Just as He set Jeremiah apart for the task of being a prophet, He has set each one of us apart for a specific purpose. We were created on purpose, for a purpose. God has plans to prosper us and give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Sometimes, we try to fill our lives with things that don't truly satisfy us. We chase after material possessions, success, and other temporary pleasures. But true fulfillment comes from knowing and fulfilling our God-given purpose. Jesus came to give us abundant life (John 10:10), a life that is overfilled with purpose and meaning.

Conclusion

In conclusion, God knows us intimately. He knew us before we were born and has a purpose for each one of us. He appoints us for specific tasks and equips us to fulfill them. Knowing that God knows us should give us confidence and assurance in His presence in our lives. Let us seek to discover and fulfill the purpose God has for us, finding true fulfillment in Him.
