Psalm 119:121-128 God's Time 1. The Problem with Oppression - 121 I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

(a) The Prompting of the Problem - 121 I have done judgment and justice:

He is Commited to God's Word, 121 I have done judgment and justice:

He is Contented with God's Word, 127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

He is Consistent in God's Word, 128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

(b) The Praying for the Problem

• The protection in the prayer. "Leave me not to mine oppressors" 121

• The purpose of the prayer. "Be surety for thy servant for good" 122

• The prevention in the prayer. "Let not the proud oppress me" 122

(c) The Proving in the Problem

123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

Here is Hurt, Here is Hunger, Here is Humility, Here is Holiness.

Ps 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word

2. The Pain of Oppression 123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

(a) The Suppression of the Pain

• The Bitterness - 122 "let not the proud oppress me."

• The Blindness - 123 "Mine eyes fail for thy salvation"

• The Barreness - 124 "Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes."

• The Brokeness - 126 "They have made void thy law"

(b) The Supplication in the Pain

126 "It is time for thee, LORD, to work; for they have made void thy law"

• A Prayer of Conviction - "It is Time"

Nehemiah 1:11 O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

• A Prayer of Comprehension - "It is time for thee, LORD, to work;"

THE LORD'S WORK. THE LORD'S WILL, THE LORD'S WORD, THE LORD'S WAY.

• A Prayer of Condemnation - "for they have made void thy law"

(c) The Sanctification through the Pain - 124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes. 3. The Purity in Oppression - (a) The Purity of Prayer - Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy,

Luke 18:13 And the publican, ..... God be merciful to me a sinner.

(b) The Purity of Pursuit - 124 and teach me thy statutes. 125 I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

(c) The Purity of Praise

127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

4. The Profit through Oppression - 128 Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

In Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
