Psalm 141 He shall hear my voice.

1. David's Cry

Devout - 1 Lord - A Recognition of His Person, His Power, His Place.

Direct - I cry unto thee:

Determined - make haste unto me;

Demanding - give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee.

Discerning - 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense;

His Words - Let my prayer,

His Works - be set forth before thee

His Worship - as incense;

Disciplined - and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Psalm 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray,

and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

2. David's Caution

Of His Words - 3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

Of His Ways - 4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing,

Of His Works - to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity:

Of His Wants - and let me not eat of their dainties. AMP - (be tempted by their gain).

3. David's Call -

For Discipline -

The Source - 5 Let the righteous smite me;

The Service - it shall be a kindness:

The Seal - and let him reprove me;

The Salve - it shall be an excellent oil which shall not break my head

For Discernment - for yet my prayer also

For Disclosure - shall be in their calamities. (of the Wicked)

4. David's Conviction Of -

God's Judgment - 6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places

God's Justification - they shall hear my words for they are sweet (just)

God's Justice -

Their Plea - They will say, (The wicked) NIV.

Their Plight - 7 Our bones are scattered

Their Place - at the grave’s mouth,

Their Purge - as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

As when the one plows and breaks open the ground [and the soil scatters behind him]

5. David's Confession

The Difference - 8 But mine eyes are unto thee,

The Deliverer - O God the Lord:

The Defence - in thee is my trust;

The Deliverance - leave not my soul destitute.

6. David's Control -

The Diligence 9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me

The Deviousness - and the gins (snares) of the workers of iniquity.

The Desire - 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,

The Design - whilst that I withal escape.
