In the Fullness of Time

(Galatians 4:4&5)

Introduction:

There's a gospel song titled "Four days late." It is about the raising of Lazarus. One verse says," and isn't it great when He's (Jesus) is four days late He's still on time." God's always on time. 0ur text says, "But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son. (Gal. 4:4 K.J)

1.The coming of Jesus says that God remembers.

Four hundred years had passed since the close of the Old Testament. It was as if God had been silent all this time. Many, I'm sure, thought that God had forgotten His promises to send a Savior.

Some of you may feel that God has forgotten you. Let me assure you; He has not. Our text said when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son. The Bible says, "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise. (2 Peter 3:9) If you are claiming God's promises hold on. Just remember, even when He's four days late, He's still right on time.

2. The coming of Jesus says that God cares.

It's not Hallmark, but it is God who cares enough to send the best. God sent His Son to die in our place. We owed a sin debt we could not pay. Jesus paid it all. Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow.

I've read that many people experience the after Christmas Blues.

You may think that everybody has forgotten you and that no-one cares. Let me assure you, God remembers, and God cares.

Conclusion

2020 has been the most challenging year in my life: Covid 19, political unrest, and rioting and burning. Almost everyone we know has had personal problems. There has been a loss of jobs, health issues, untimely death, to name only a few.

I talked to a good Christian lady last week who said she was expecting God to do something. So am I in the fullness of His time?
