Summary: When the subject of God is called to your attention, what thought comes to your mind? What impresses you the most about God? His grace, mercy, and/or love. The biggest question some may have is God for us?

If God is for us, why are there so many things against His children? How can we know that God is for us!

I. We Know God is for Us Because He Has Given us His Son

1. Romans 8:31, 32

2. What more could God do than send his own son into the world to be our Savior. John 3:16

3. God gave His Son for one purpose; to save us form our sins. John 1:29

a. 2 Corinthians 5:21

b. I never get tired of hearing how God loved me and gave himself for me.

4. Vs. 32; the gift of His Son also guarantees “All things.”

II. We Know that God is for Us Because He Has Once and for All Settled the Question of Our Sin

1. Verses. 1-3; 33-34; tells us the sacrifice, the resurrection and the present intercession of Jesus has settled the question once for all.

a. Before we accepted Christ, we were condemned to a Devil’s Hell.

b. John 3:18; John 5:24

2. I wish we could see sin through the eyes of God.

a. Story of snake biting small girl; God hates sin but loves the sinner.

b. After trusting Christ, God cannot see our sins. 1 John 1:9

III. We Know God is for Us Because He Has Given Us His Spirit

1. Holy Spirit is mentioned 20 times in this chapter.

2. Notice what this tells us….

a. Verse 9; indwells us

b. Verse 10; imparts life

c. Verse 11 & 23; guarantees our resurrection

d. Verse 14; guides, according to the will of God

e. Verse 16; assurance that we are the Lords

f. Verse 26; our helper

IV. We Know God is for Us because He has Adopted us into His Family and has Made us Joint Heirs with His Son.

1. How would you feel to be adopted by a wealthy rancher and every ting he has is yours?

2. The ties of adoption are stronger than heirs.

V. We Know God is for Us Because He Has Promised that all Things Will Work Together for Our Good. Verse 28

VI. We Know God is for Us Because He Has Guaranteed Our Eternal Security. Verses 35-39

1. Nothing in time or eternity; heaven or earth. No force of evil can separate us from God.

2. Yes, God is for us…but are we for Him?????
