Genesis 6:13-7:1 JESUS, THE ARK OF OUR SALVATION 14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. I. THE ARK WAS PLANNED BY GOD 15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A. There was a Reason for the Ark i. God's Wrath - Mat 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

It was a time of Apostasy - Men had forsaken and forgotten God.

III. THE ARK WAS PERFECT IN DESIGN Gen 6:15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A. The Dimensions were perfect - Approximately 450' x 75' x 45' height B. The Direction of the window was perfect - Upward! Look to the Lord for salvation - Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. C. The Door was perfect 16 and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; It was Unique - One door - John 14:6 I am the door. African - Africans were thus anciently understood to be the sons of Ham, particularly his descendant Cush, as Cushites are referred to throughout scripture as being the inhabitants of East Africa, Christ died for ALL, and there is an invitation for them ALL to come to Him!
