However, the Bible teaches that faith is the cornerstone of the Christian life. It is through faith that we come to Christ and live our lives with joy and gladness. Without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Let's explore the significance of faith in our salvation and daily living.
The Gospel reveals a righteousness from God, which centers on Jesus Christ. He is the message of the Gospel, the one who lived a sinless life, atoned for our sins, and rose from the dead. Through faith, we receive this righteousness. We are all sinners by nature and choice, unable to save ourselves. But God made salvation possible through His Son. Understanding the Gospel is crucial for our salvation.
The righteousness of God is given to us solely through faith. This is the Good News – we don't earn it through our own efforts. True biblical faith means trusting completely in Christ for everything, forsaking all and trusting Him. It's like resting our whole weight on a chair – we rely entirely on Him.
