Keys to prosperity for 2005

“Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.

*Deut. 30:15-20

“See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess”.

“But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess”.

“This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

1. God says to His people; choose to prosper.

God has given us choices to make, (Verse 15)

The Bible says that; “Faith without works is dead.”

- Get a better job

- Get a career

- If your friends are keeping you from prospering maybe you have the wrong friends.

2. Love the Lord above anything else.

(Verse 16) “For I command you today to love the LORD your God”.

- Stop blaming the Lord for your past failures, Take responsibility for your actions.

- Don’t allow bitterness and anger from the past frustrate you.

3. Keep God’s word close to your heart at all times.

(Verse 20) “And that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob”

- Stop listening to ungodly counsel.

- Read the word daily and keep it in your heart. “Out of the abundance of the heart speaks the mouth.”

- Confess God’s word over your life. Speak God’s word to your finances, to your health, to your situation.

4. Commit yourself to the Lord completely

(Verse 17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess.

- “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

- Make Godly choices.

- Remember that true prosperity is being a good Stewart of Gods blessing.

-Remember you cannot serve the Lord and Mammon at the same time. You must choose to serve God and only Him.

- Jesus said in Matthew 6:24; “No one can serve two masters”

5. You must establish God’s Kingdom in your life for prosperity to take place.

*Mark 4:30-32, Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”
