Encourage believers to live by faith, trusting in God's goodness and strength, even when they cannot see the path ahead clearly.

Introduction

Good morning, brothers and sisters in Christ. As we gather together today, I want to share a message about living by faith, the power of faith, and the necessity of faith.

This message is based on the words of Apostle Paul in 2 Corinthians 5:7, where he said,

"For we live by faith, not by sight."

In our journey of faith, there are times when we might not see the end from the beginning. We might not know how things will work out. But it's in those moments that our faith becomes crucial. It's faith that carries us through the uncertainties, through the storms, and through the trials.

In the words of A.W. Tozer, "Faith is the gaze of a soul upon a saving God." It's about having our eyes fixed on God, trusting in His goodness, even when we can't see the path ahead clearly.

Let us pray.

Father, as we delve into Your Word today, we pray for a deeper understanding of what it means to live by faith. Help us to trust You more, to rely on Your strength, and to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

So let's dive right in, folks.

Living by Faith

Living by faith is a principle that is deeply rooted in the Bible and is central to our relationship with God. Living by faith means that we trust in God and His promises, even when we can't see the outcome or the path ahead. It's about having complete confidence in God's ability to fulfill His promises, regardless of our circumstances or our understanding.

Not a passive act: It requires active participation and a conscious decision to trust God. It's about making choices that align with God's will, even when those choices don't make sense from a worldly perspective. It's about stepping out in faith, even when the path ahead is unclear or uncertain.

Trusting in God's timing: Often, we want things to happen according to our timeline, but God's timing is always perfect. He knows what is best for us and when it is best for us. Trusting in His timing requires patience and perseverance, but it also brings peace and assurance, knowing that God is in control.

Not always easy: There will be times when we face trials and challenges that test our faith. But it's in those moments that our faith grows stronger. As we trust in God and rely on His strength, we can overcome any obstacle. We can find comfort and hope in the midst of our struggles, knowing that God is with us and for us.

Surrendering our lives to God: It's about letting go of our plans and desires and submitting to God's will. It's about recognizing that God's ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. When we surrender our lives to God, we are acknowledging that He is our Lord and Savior, and we are choosing to follow Him, no matter what.

A journey: It's a journey that involves growth, transformation, and deepening our relationship with God. It's a journey that requires courage, determination, and resilience. But it's also a journey that brings joy, peace, and fulfillment.

Not about having all the answers: It's about trusting in the One who does. It's about relying on God's wisdom and understanding, rather than our own. It's about acknowledging our limitations and recognizing our need for God.

A lifestyle: It's not something we do once and then forget about. It's a daily decision to trust God, to follow Him, and to live according to His Word. It's a commitment to live a life that honors and glorifies God.
