Summary: Man's Look

Isaiah 45:20-25 Man's Look

22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I. Jesus is the Only SACRIFICE for all Sin.

Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us All."

Preacher - Train - Go in at the first all, and Go out at the last all.

A. All are Sinners - the universality of sin... All we like sheep have gone astray;

B. All are Self-willed. Every sin is an act of the will. - we have turned every one to his own way

C. All are Sought - and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us All."

All are included in the problem of Sin, & all are included in the provision of a Saviour.

I Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

I John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

The provision for sin is as extensive as the extent of sin.

When Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in 1865 they allowed people to view the body a rather large black woman clutching her son said to that little boy,

"Look a long time laddie, that man died for you."

Hebrews 2:9 says, "But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for EVERY man."

Romans 8:32 "He that spared not his own son, but delivered him up for us ALL."

II. Jesus is the Only SAVIOUR for all Sinners. "Look unto ME, and be ye saved"

Jesus is the complete Saviour. He is only Saviour. He needs no one else to help Him.

"I am THE way, THE truth, THE life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME."

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among me, whereby we must be saved."

A Saviour is NEEDED BY ALL, OFFERED TO ALL, SUPPLIED BY ONE

I John 4:1 "And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world."

John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

2. The Scope of Salvation. "ALL THE ENDS OF THE EARTH:"

3. The Simplicity of Salvation. “LOOK unto me, and be ye saved"

4. The Security of Salvation. “Look unto me, and be ye SAVED"

He can handle the fire, the lions, the winds and waves.

Psalm 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

With Jesus we can undergo anything, perform anything, face anything, endure anything

Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things[tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword] we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Jer 12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

IV. Jesus is the Only SUITOR for all Service.

Luke 14:25 There went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
