VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: Hosea

Hosea 1:1 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

The Lord gave this message to Hosea son of Beeri during the years when Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah were kings of Judah, and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

B. Spiritual message: Apostasy from GOD is spiritual adultery

C. Major Hebrew words used:

Ishi = hebrew word for husband - meaning husband or male person

Baali = hebrew word for master - meaning master, symbolical name of Jehovah

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. That day: The Rapture

1 Corinthians 15:52 (New International Version)

in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves.

Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.

So encourage each other with these words.

B. The LORD said this (Isaiah 55:10 ,Jeremiah 1:12, Numbers 23:19 )

Isaiah 55:10-11 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

“The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.

It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.

Jeremiah 1:12 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

And the Lord said, “That’s right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans.”

Numbers 23:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

C. You will call me "My Husband" (Ephesians 5:25-27, John 3:29, Revelation 19:7, Revelation 21:2)

1. JESUS CHRIST, our MASTER, LORD AND SAVIOR now here on earth, will be called our Husband! (my Husband)

Ephesians 5:25-27 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her

to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word.

He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault.
