Need For The Spirit Of God

Topic: NEED FOR THE SPIRIT OF GOD

Acts 1:1-5 King James Version (KJV)

1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Hallelujah!!! We serve a living Jesus, who the grave couldn't keep, death couldn't contend with and sin bowed down to Him and worshipped Him as Lord over all.

Beloved, Jesus gave His disciples specific instruction to follow. He asked them to wait in Jerusalem until the promise of the Father, Precious Holy Spirit has come and they have been baptized by God Almighty with the Spirit.

Beloved, the Apostles needed Precious Holy Spirit because all the instructions and commands were given through Precious Holy Spirit.

Without Precious Holy Spirit you can't hear nor see anything from God. You would not have any revelation without Precious Holy Spirit.

Also to be on fire for God, to do His work and do it successfully, you need to be baptised with Precious Holy Spirit. Jesus needed Him, and He was with Jesus here on earth and finally raised Him from the dead.

Beloved Jesus needed Him, the Apostles had to wait for Him before they move an inch out of Jerusalem to start what they had been commanded to do.

If Jesus and the Apostles needed Him then what about you?

Beloved, you need Him more than you think, know or feel. You need Him to be able to know and understand the instructions we receive. You need Him to even hear the instructions that you need to obey.

Beloved you can do nothing without the Spirit of God.

Beloved you need to wait for the Spirit of God to manifest in you and around you so you can move.

As Christians, we need to fast, pray and study the Word of God to position ourselves and also to be sensitive enough to the Spirit of God that He may manifest in us and around us and when He does we would know and then move according to the will of God.

Beloved, *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. The promise of God who is Precious Holy Spirit was given to us because of Jesus and nothing else.

Beloved, we need to rise up from our slumber, fast, pray and study the Word of God and when the Spirit of God kicks into action, we move to do the will of the Father with fire burning in our bones.

Prayer: Father, please empower us to wait for your Spirit before we move. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
