Summary: Organize our self around the fact that we are created in the Image of God and we inherit His beauty. Begin to seek the beauty of God and you will never have to live a filtered life.

When we can’t find beauty in life, our first response is to use filters. Filters that cause us to intentionally (or unintentionally) commit sins. Before using filters in life; take a moment and think that the world may turn out ugly at times, but there’s one beauty that is absolute. And that is the beauty of God, His nature, His character, His divine attributes.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV) 11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

#1 GOD IS BEHIND EVERY BEAUTIFUL THING

---

Genesis 1:31 "And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."

Not because we can’t see God’s beauty, it doesn’t mean that it does not exist!

God’s beauty is everywhere, and it does not need filtering.

#2 WE INHERIT GOD’S BEAUTY

--

Genesis 1:26 NIV

26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

When God made us, He not only put us in charge of non-human creation, He also created us in his Image. Everyone is created in the Imago Dei, in the Image of God.

Psalm 27:4 One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.

Jesus is the picture-perfect image of God

Just one glimpse of him, just one encounter with him, just one invitation for him, your life will change forever that you will never need filtering again.

#3 WE CAN FIND HOPE IN GOD’S BEAUTY

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP) 11 He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.

When God created us in His Image, we are created beautifully. God places eternity in our human heart, a sense of divine purpose.
