You mean you are preaching on salvation again!! Yes, and I will until heaven is full and has no more room, or there is no more death. I think when a person comes to the end of this life and they know death is approaching, there is one thing they want to know above all else. That one thing is, will I find my way home to God, when I wake up in the morning? Will I be safe in His arms?

You can go to the graveyard and find there a stone to fit the age of everyone here this morning. Matthew 7:13, so I ask you are you on the right path? Are you on the right road?

I. The World’s Greatest Ignorance is on the Subject of Salvation.

1. Ignorant because they have been taught wrong.

a. Bro. Courtney thought salvation was by works and baptism.

b. Was not ignorant because he wanted to be. He just was brought up wrong.

2. True about people we find on visitation. Ignorant because they have not been taught anything.

a. No one has ever taken them the message.

3. 2 Peter 3:3-9, some are willingly ignorant.

a. Some have closed their minds and heart to the things of God.

b. Scoffers and mockers.

II. The World’s Greatest Confusion is on the Subject of Salvation.

1. This is the reason we have so many different religions and faiths in the world today.

2. Men and women are trusting in may tings for salvation today.

a. We need to get back to what Jesus says.

b. John 14:6

c. Acts 4:12

3. John 8:44, Satan is the reason why there is so much confusion in the world. He is a liar and the father of all lies.

4. Matthew 7:21, is a good example of those who have put their faith and trust in things outside of Christ.

5. There is no reason for confusion about salvation.

a. For God has made the way clear.

b. Ephesians 2:8-9

III. By Picture and By Type in the Old Testament

1. Both the Old and the New Testament declares there is but one way home to God.

2. Genesis 6:13, God said He would bring judgment upon the earth, but God never brings judgment without first making a way to escape.

3. Genesis 6:13-17, the ark is a picture of the salvation found in Jesus.

a. Cubit is 20 inches, which means the ark was 515 ft. long, 86 ft. wide, 52 ft. high. A little over 2 acres of floor space in the ark.

b. Some have said the ark could have held some 5600 people.

4. Genesis 6:16, notice the door. Only one. You would think a boat that size would have several ways to enter it.

a. Only one door and God had closed it when the time came.

b. Picture those who wanted to enter when the water began to fall.

IV. By Type

1. Exodus 12:12, every family was to have a lamb. They were to kill it and apply the blood over the door.

a. The death angel was to pass through the land looking for the blood.

b. Some might have taught this is foolish.

c. Some might have wondered what if this does not. God knew what He was doing.

2. Exodus 12:30, look at those who did not believe.

3. Jesus is coming back and do you know what he will be looking for??? Some say.

a. I have been faithful.

b. I have been a good man, taken good care of my family.

c. When Jesus comes back he will be looking for those who have had the blood applied to their life.

d. Only one way home to God. Leviticus 17:11

V. Listen to the Words of the Apostles.

1. Romans 10:9-13

2. 1 Timothy 1:15

3. Hebrews 9:12

4. 1 John 5:12

5. Jude 24

6. 1 Peter 2:24

7. John 1:12

8. This Bible shouts from cover to cover that there is only one way home to God.

VI. Listen to the Words of Jesus

1. John 14:6

2. John 10:9-10, my friend, if you refuse Him how are you ever going to be saved?

3. Mathew 25:1

a. There are a lot of wise people who have turned to Christ.

b. Also a lot of foolish people who have never trusted Him.

VII. A lot of people Lose Their Way in this Life.

1. Storms, hunting, planes, but don’t lose your way home to God. Are you Sure?
