PRIDE STANDS IN THE WAY

Many of us let pride stand in the way of living for the Lord.

I cant is our answer when we know the we can with the Lords

1 Pharaoh

Exodus 5:2And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

Pharaoh let his pride stand against God

His way are no way

2.Naaman

2nd Kings 5:11But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Naaman wanted every thing to suit him

God showed him what and how he needed to do

3. Uzziah

2nd Chronicles 26:16But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.

He brought destruction on him self

He did what God told him not to do

4.Hezekiah

2nd Chronicles 32:25But Hezekiah rendered not again according to the benefit done unto him; for his heart was lifted up: therefore there was wrath upon him, and upon Judah and Jerusalem.

His heart swelled up with pride

He did the opposite of what God told him

5. Haman

Esther 3:5And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.

His pride show up and brought wrath on him

He anger over powered him

6. Nebuchadnezzar

Daniel 5:23But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

In the rage of pride he built a evil god

He demanded that all worship it
