Purpose, Discipleship, & Growth

Summary: Illustration” Video - Adrian Rogers “If you are not sharing the gospel then you are not right with God”
I. We must be faithful with steadfast purpose. (v.23)
- Romans 7:4 Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God.
II. The church must be engaged in regular and ongoing discipleship. (v.26)
- Col 1:10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
III. Purpose and discipleship lead to continued growth. (v.24)
- Leads to spiritual growth.
- Leads to numerical growth.
Conclusion:
In oder to be found faithful we must have God’s purpose in our lives.
In order to be found faithful we must be engaged in discipleship.
When we are purposeful and discipled there will be growth.
