Summary: in order to understand the meaning of true love, we must first understand the power and authority of the Blood

REDEEMING LOVE FROM THE BLOOD…

So, I know how love feels, my heart beats for me, yes, all the time yet, it beats for God, in and outside my body, all around me, going through me, pulsating all the time. I know firsthand rejection from people, family, when God comes and puts His Arms around you, tells you that you are His, adopted by Him, purchased through His blood, you belong to Him, He is Dad, the one you need.

Then and only then will you understand the redeeming love God has for you, however it is only yours if you walk in His Righteousness, in forgiveness for all or unfortunately you will never know true love.

It is a bit like that song: "Reckless Love."

Before I spoke a word, you were singing over me. You have been so, so good to me.

Before I took a breath, you breathed Your life in me. You have been so, so kind to me.

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God.

Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine.

I couldn't earn it, and I don't deserve it, still, you give Yourself away.

Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God, yeah.

How many of us have experienced love? I mean some of you have been married for ages yet when your spouse is looking for words of love, comfort, says love you with feeling, you just say, yep love you too, or not even that you just say ditto.

Can we go deeper, can we look at love, I want to show you true love yet before I do that, you need to know the meaning of true love.

Turn with me to Ephesians 1:7, 2:13

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far away have come to be near by the blood of Christ.

In fact, let us look at chapter 2 verse 4-10

Ephesians 2: 4-10

But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and seated us together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus, that in the coming ages He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace, you are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

This basic message found in Ephesians is simple, thanks to religion, humans live in sin, violence, and discord with others however through Jesus Christ we have been shown a new way of living. Jesus redeemed us, brought us back, recused us, released us from sin and violence, He went to the cross and shed His Blood for us, not as a payment but a revelation to the world about sin.

We as humans are sinners, under control of the world and thanks to Adam, a sinful nature, in fact some people are just pure evil. We were dead and because of this, God’s wrath is against us and wants to send us all to hell, yet He loves us. Someone had to pay the price for our sin.

God sent His Son to die in our place, a horrible, gruesome death for our sin. Listen if we believe in Jesus, we have eternal life, but while here on earth we are to obey and carry on with His good works according to heavenly rules, not the rules of the world. GRACE GIVEN TO US BY GOD, BY FAITH.

Every single man-made division has been torn down by Jesus. He had to die a bloody, violent, sacrificial way to redeem and rescue us. Boy we have so much to celebrate in this easter season.

As I reflect, think of my life, the last few years have been difficult, different, a lot of pain and sadness, hearts broken, relationships damaged, people gone, yet he breathed new life in to places long dead. I am so humbled by my Lord and Savior, I am a sinner, I was apart from Him, yet He called me out, through the blood of His Son, He set me free, He made me new< He loves me, cares for me and has given me grace. The work He has started in me, He will continue and see it through until the day He comes, completes what He started.

NO ONE TAUGHT US TO BE SELFISH, UNKIND, SPITEFUL, WE JUST ARE, NO AMOUNT OF MONEY CAN BEGIN TO REPAIR THAT RELATIONSHIP, SIN THAT SEPARATES US FROM GOD, ONLY THE BLOOD OF ONE WHO WAS SINLESS, SPOTLESS COULD REPAIR, JESUS IS HIS NAME.
