Message Point: We are saved by grace.

Focus Passage: Eph 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Introduction: History of Reformation Sunday.

I. Traditions

a. Mark 7:8 "Neglecting the commandment of God, you hold to the tradition of men."

b. Col 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

II. Transactions

b. John 2:16 …He said, "Take these things away; stop making My Father's house a place of business."

III. Truth

a. GRACE!!!!!! Getting what you don’t deserve; unmerited favor.

b. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn 3:16.

c. For God demonstrates His love for us while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
