JAIL HOUSE ROCK

Acts 16:25And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

26And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Think about this every one is a sleep but God’s men. They were praising the Lord

Because they could suffer for him. They over came difficult times praise and singing.

They were not alone in jail, the Holy Spirit was ever present with them.

When the rocking started the jailer was wakened out of his sleep .

(1) HE CALLED FOR A LIGHT.

Acts16: 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

A. He had to be sure all were accounted for.

B. He would have to take the place of any missing .

C. He knew they did not care about him (the devils gang)

(2)He SPRANG IN

A. He had to move fast.

B. His life was on the line.

C. he knew he would be a dead man.

(3) HE CAME TREMBLING

A. When death is near men shake with fear.

B. He felt the whole cell block was empty.

C. He had to check it out.

(4) HE INQUIRED

Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

A. He know tough why me .

B. Then he saw his lost condition.

C. What must I do. (Call on the name of Jesus ask him to save you.)

(5) HE BELIEVED

Acts 16:34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

A Shared his love with Paul and Silas by feeding them.

B. He now was rejoicing with them .

C. The Holy Spirit had hold on him.

(6) HE RECEIVED

Acts 16: 31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

33And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

A. The best deal he ever made.

B. Jesus came in him heart.

C. He was all shook up.

D. He was baptized

(7) HE REJOICED

Luke 15:7I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

A. Saved he now looked at life different.

B. Heaven rejoiced with him.

C. He had anew home.

D. Ask his wife

E. Ask his kids

D. Ask his friends
