At first glance these were great days to be alive. But, a warning from the prophet Hosea revealed a deep-seated spiritual bankruptcy. The prophet Hosea gave a message of hope in the midst of coming judgment. Hosea’s preaching includes an appeal to repent.
It must have been exciting to live in the Northern Kingdom of Israel in 800 BC. You could get up early and check the stock market prices and see new records set. New record highs set every day. The economy was great.
