Guilt can be self-inflicted. Not all guilt comes from God. And there can be times when you or I have committed a sin and we feel guilty so we pray and ask for forgiveness and we still feel guilty.

Jesus was our Savior on the cross, but He was also our Judge, and He pardoned us for all of our unknown sins of omission that we can never confess. His forgiveness was universal and comprehensive.
