Summary: Testimony is about the wonderful things God has done for us. As we experience the awesome power of God’s divine intervention , we need to be sharing our story so that our testimony will be permanent.

King Nebuchadnezzar said in (Daniel 4:2): "I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me."

I think this is a brilliant verse, for someone like king Nebuchadnezzar to declare the goodness of God upon his life.

Basically, Testimony is about the wonderful things God has done for us. Our testimony is the evidence that we are serving a living God. When we share our story ,miracles happen and we become an overcomer.

As Christian we all go through stuff in life and God has always proved to be God in those situations. God has delivered us from accidents and demonic attacks , He has healed us , he has giving hope in hopeless situation , He has broken chains, He has set the captive free, He has provided accommodation, money and food , He has made you a landlord, He has giving you children, husband and wife , He has giving you victory over the enemy , He has giving you success in your interviews and exams, He has giving you residency and jobs etc. Beloved think about those things that God has done for you and share your story.

One of the greatest testimony we need to share as Christians is that we are born again. Once we give our life to Jesus every other need will be met as the Lord wishes. (Matthew 6:33). Although God did not promise us that everything will be rosy when we give our life to Him but He gave us an assurance that whatever we go through in life He will be there for us.

Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you”.

This means God knows we will be walking through fire and we will be dealing with stuff as we go through the journey with Him but He has promise to be there with us ,to carry us through and renew our strength. Isaiah 40:31

Beloved for us to have a great testimony we would need to stand on the promises of God and declare it upon ourselves on a regular basis. As we experience the awesome power of God’s divine intervention , we need be telling our story so that our testimony will be permanent.

Over the past years, I have seen God moved tremendously in my situation. I have experience Gods miracle in a way that I have never done before. I have taking a lot of risk by having faith in God and God has proved to be God in my life even when I was about to give up. I have engaged in spiritual warfare by praying more and seeking God through fasting, reading his word and sharing my belief with other. All these have enhanced my testimony. I have seen people giving their life to Jesus, having great breakthrough and divine testimony through His words.

Beloved we do not need to wait until we have a big testimony, we can start sharing the very little things God has done for us and we will see Him doing greater things in our life. Testimony can be shared among our friends, colleagues, family or in our church. We can write it or speak it out, it doesn’t necessarily need to be done on a big platform.

WHY DO WE NEED TO SHARE OUR TESTIMONY?

Testimonies encourages others in their faith

Testimony helps others facing the same obstacles to trust in God

Testimony help others build relationship with God

Testimony unlocks prisons just like it did for Paul and Silas (Acts 16:25-34)

Testimony is a way of giving thanks to God (Isaiah 12:4)

Testimony makes us an overcomer and gives us victory (Revelation 12:11)

Testimony brings miracles

Beloved if you are going through stuff in life, instead of moaning and complaining you need to start telling your story, you need to start telling the world about the goodness of God in your life. Think about the good things God has done in the past and share the story.

The challenges you are going through could be a way that God want to give you a big testimony. Do not take it as a punishment or maybe God is not answering your prayers, God is fully aware of the situation. Luke 21: 12-13

Job 42:10 say “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”

I think for Job to pray for his friends in his affliction is a way of proving to them that his God exists and He answers prayers. The bible says God turned his captivity around, God changed his story and gave him a big testimony.
