Youth Sermon: Sharing the Kingdom

God's Squad

Today we're talking about how God knows us inside out and wants to hang out with us. He's made us part of His squad, and now we get to invite others to join the party.

Imagine you've got the latest, most awesome video game. It's so cool, you can't help but want to share it with your friends. You invite them over, and you all have a blast playing together. That's what being part of God's squad is like. He's given us something amazing - His love and His kingdom - and He wants us to share it with others.

He's made us part of His squad, and now we get to invite others to join the party.

Ephesians 2:19-22

In Ephesians 2:19-22, Paul tells us that because of Jesus, we're not outsiders anymore. We're part of God's squad, built on the foundation of Jesus. We're fully known and part of the faith family.

Think about a kid who's been adopted into a loving family after feeling unwanted and alone. That's us. God wanted us so much that He sent Jesus to trade His life for ours. We're not alone anymore. We're part of God's squad.

Matthew 22:1-14

Jesus tells a story in Matthew 22:1-14 about a king who throws a massive party. The original guests blow off the invite, so the king invites anyone and everyone. The party's ready, and the king wants as many people as possible to join the fun. We get to invite others to experience the love and joy of God's kingdom.

Galatians 6:9-10

Building friendships takes time and effort. It can be tempting to give up and do life solo, but we were made for community. Galatians 6:9-10 tells us not to get tired of doing good. As long as Jesus is building His squad, there's always room for more.

This week, think about who you can invite to join God's squad. Maybe it's a friend, a classmate, or a neighbor. Remember, it's not about being perfect or having all the answers. It's about sharing the love and grace you've experienced in God's kingdom.

Prayer

Let's pray together. God, help us to see others the way you do. Give us the courage to invite them into your kingdom. Thank you for making us part of your squad. Amen.
