Its only when we remove ourselves and the word 'if' from the equation, and trust God to do the impossible, that we truly step into faith. The story of David is not a question of 'if', but a testament to his faith. Are you willing to do the same?

Title: Stepping Out of "What If" and Into Faith

Introduction:

Imagine a scenario where a king needed a faithful servant and had to choose between two candidates. He hired both individuals and instructed them to fill a basket with water from a nearby well. The king promised to inspect their work in the evening. One of the men became discouraged, claiming that pouring water into the basket was useless as it kept leaking out. However, the other man had faith in the king's wisdom and believed that there must be a purpose behind this task. He continued to fill the basket until the well was completely drained. To his surprise, he discovered a diamond ring at the bottom of the well. The king had been searching for his most faithful servant, and this man's trust and obedience had led him to the reward.

Faith Defined:

Faith is the belief, trust, and loyalty we have in God. It is a firm conviction in something without requiring proof. In Hebrews 11:1-3, we learn that faith is the foundation of a meaningful life. It is our handle on the unseen and what sets apart our ancestors who lived by faith. Through faith, we understand that God created the world by His word, bringing into existence what we cannot see.

The Importance of Faith:

God desires us to grasp the concept of faith and apply it to our daily lives and relationship with Him. The word "faith" appears numerous times in the Bible, emphasizing its significance. By exercising faith, we can experience the abundant life that Jesus promised.

Believing in God's Capabilities:

Often, we tend to think that we have evolved beyond the need for God's intervention and rely solely on our own abilities. However, a humorous story reminds us that God's capabilities surpass our own. We must recognize that we are entirely dependent on Him and have faith in His power.

The Power of Faith:

Faith is the key to unlocking God's blessings in our lives. Hebrews 11:6 states that without faith, it is impossible to please God. We must believe in His existence and trust that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Our faith allows us to tap into the limitless possibilities of God.

Stepping Out of "What If" and Into Faith:

We often find ourselves questioning and doubting, trapped in the "what if" mindset. However, when we shift our focus from ourselves and our circumstances to God's capabilities, we can experience the impossible becoming possible. The story of David and Goliath illustrates this truth.

David's Faith:

David, a young shepherd boy, faced the giant Goliath who defied the armies of the living God. While everyone else was paralyzed by fear and doubt, David boldly declared his trust in God's power. He recognized that victory would come not through his own strength but through God's intervention.

The Outcome:

David's unwavering faith led him to defeat Goliath with a single stone. He understood that the battle belonged to God and that victory was possible if he believed. David's triumph over the giant inspired the entire nation of Israel and demonstrated the extraordinary power of God.

Applying Faith to Our Lives:

Just as David stepped out of the "what if" mindset and into faith, we too must embrace this perspective. We should lay our burdens at God's feet and trust Him to bring about the impossible. Our circumstances are temporary and subject to change when we have faith in God's capabilities.

God's Promises:

God is always willing to fulfill His promises to us. He longs to bless us abundantly when we have faith and believe in His ability to do the impossible. We must diligently seek Him and spend time in His Word, for it is through the Scriptures that we discover His plans for our lives.

Conclusion:

God is good, patient, and kind. He eagerly waits for us to surrender our doubts and fears, allowing Him to work in our lives. He has prearranged a good life for each of us, and it is our God-given right to live it. Let us step out of the "what if" mentality and into faith, trusting in God's capabilities. When we do, we will witness His amazing works and experience the abundant life He has prepared for us.
