"He made the storm calm down"

Psalms 65:7 (Amplified Bible)

Who still the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the tumult of the peoples,

Psalms 89:9 (Amplified Bible)

You rule the raging of the sea; when its waves arise, You still them.

Jonah 1:15 (Amplified Bible)

So they took up Jonah and cast him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging.

Matthew 8:26 (Amplified Bible)

And He said to them, Why are you timid and afraid, O you of little faith? Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great and wonderful calm (a perfect peaceableness).

Matthew 8:27 (Amplified Bible)

And the men were stunned with bewildered wonder and marveled, saying, What kind of Man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him!

Mark 4:41 (Amplified Bible)

And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him?

Luke 8:25 (Amplified Bible)

And He said to them, [Why are you so fearful?] Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me—in My veracity and My integrity)? And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?

If the LORD JESUS CHRIST can do this to a storm, how much more simpler for Him to do this to a person like me. There's nothing like a wonderful calm in our hearts when the LORD JESUS CHRIST have chosen to live His Presence inside our hearts; it was, and it is a wonderful calm.

B. Waves of the sea were hushed

"and the waves became still"

Psalms 148:8 (Amplified Bible)

You lightning, hail, fog, and frost, you stormy wind fulfilling His orders!

Proverbs 30:4 (Amplified Bible)

Who has ascended into heaven and descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in His garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know?

Mark 4:39 (Amplified Bible)

And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness).

Peace like a river, only the LORD JESUS CHRIST can offer that to us. Make Him Your LORD and SAVIOR today like the winds and the sea have already done.
