Summary: Stop looking for the answers in the cemeteries, there is no life there, there’s no celebration there, there’s no music and there is no fire.

It is reported in Matthew 27:50-51, 54 (NIV) And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.

Matthew 27:54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"

Continuing this morning with the theme of long haired music, Mozart and Beethoven, and others, that their music end never seems to end, it stops and starts over and over again.

Stop Looking for the Answers in the Cemetery.

Dead people don’t have any answers, there light, fire and music have stopped.

But when the music stopped; Jesus’ light, celebration and fire didn’t go out, and neither did His Good News Message. The Good News is alive and on fire today.

Jesus goes to trial and is convicted of crimes He never committed. What we may feel as a tragedy, is in the plan of God. The sacrifice had to be made for our salvation.

The earth stood still, the lighting lit up the blacken skies and the ground shook. The great curtain that separated the people from the Holy of Holies was ripped from top to the bottom.

Luke 24: 1-8

NOW - Can you hear His music start to play again, the drums, and maybe the base violins start to play louder and stronger? The celebration and fire is just under the surface like a volcano, it is about to explode in to a revolution that will continue until His return.

Now God’s people had direct access to Him. We no longer have to have a mediator, priest or rabbi. Jesus is our High Priest and He was the last blood sacrifice for our sins. His blood was poured out to wash your sins away.

Luke 24:5: What is so profound was the statement, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?”

Boom, the trumpets, horns blare, the drums explode, the entire symphony starts to play for the climax of song.

Jesus’ music, celebration and fire never comes to an end, it never stops.

Jesus rose from the grave and He is alive, He is alive. He conquered sin, hell and the grave so we could have eternal life.

As a child we played hide and go-seek, as parents we teach our children the same game. The object is to find the person that is hiding from everyone else.

Jesus was not playing hide and go seek.

No one hid His body and Jesus was not hiding on that Sunday morning, nor is He hiding today.

He was not in the tomb because He was not dead. You can’t find something that is not there.

Why do you find what you are looking for in the last place you look?, because you stop looking for it when you find it.

We go about our daily lives trying to find our way through a maze of life’s problems. We can hear the music playing a long way off.

You know there must be a path to get there but you cannot find our music, the celebration or the fire.

We know that we must keep looking, but why don’t we do something different?
