VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The LORD gives strength to us

"The Lord will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people;"

Ephesians 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the [Holy] Spirit [Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality].

2 Timothy 4:17 (Amplified Bible)

But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the [Gospel] message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. So I was delivered out of the jaws of the lion.

Psalms 68:35 (Amplified Bible)

O God, awe-inspiring, profoundly impressive, and terrible are You out of Your holy places; the God of Israel Himself gives strength and fullness of might to His people. Blessed be God!

GOD is our strengthener and our reinforcer with His Mighty Power in our spirit.

B. The LORD blesses us to be stable

"the Lord will bless His people with peace."

John 14:27 (Amplified Bible)

Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]

John 16:33 (Amplified Bible)

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

2 Thessalonians 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace (the peace of His kingdom) at all times and in all ways [under all circumstances and conditions, whatever comes]. The Lord [be] with you all.

Peace makes us stable. Without genuine peace, there's no stability.

IX. CONCLUSION:

GOD gives us both strength and peace
