Summary: We need to Praise God not man.

The kind of Church we need today is a Glorious church.

Ephesians 5: 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Remember the church is the body ,bride and building of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Soon we will meat the Groom in the air.

(A) He was the gracious founder.

Jesus conceived the church in eternity.

Christ constituted it on earth.

Matthew 16: 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Jesus controls it entirety.

(B) The glorious is the Foundation.

Colossians 1: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Shed blood of a sinless Saviour.

Substitute for sinner like me.

Satisfaction of the saved scriptures.

( C ) Our glorious conversion of it’s faith.

Acts 20: 17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith fully saves through repentance.

Receive Christ as a personal Saviour.

Receive everlasting Salvation.

(D) Glorious family in Christ. Rev.3:7-11

United as one body in Christ.

Rewards of fellowship in the church.

Rejoicing with our fellow Christians.

(E) Glorious Commission.

Acts 1: 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

World wide missions.

Witnessing to all man kind.

Winning people to the Lord.

(F) Glorious climax.

Revelations 4: 1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

(G) It’s a Glorious call.

2nd Corinthians 6 : 1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
