Psalms 118:6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You are within me and always by my side, that's all I need in this life to know.

The LORD Is On My Side

A. Contents: Cheerful acknowledgement of God’s goodness and dependence upon that goodness for the future.

B. Characters: God

C. Conclusion: Never failing streams of mercy flow from our God. The more our hearts are impressed with the sense of His goodness, the more we are bound to praise Him and the more our hearts will be enlarged in all manner of obedience.

D. Key Word: Thanks, Psa_118:1, Psa_118:29.

E. Strong Verses: Psa_118:6, Psa_118:8 (middle verse of Bible).

F. Striking Facts: Psa_118:22. Jesus Christ is the tried stone, elect, precious, which God Himself appointed. While the Jews could not see the excellence in Him that they should build upon Him, in raising Him from the dead God made Him the headstone of the corner, the foundation of the church. To the rejector He is now a stumbling stone. At His second coming He is the stone cut out without hands which is to fall upon and crush the unbelieving nations.

Psalms 118:6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

A. The LORD is on my side.

"The Lord is on my side;"

In the Old Testament, the LORD GOD is with us, that is He goes before us, and our rear guard. But in the New Testament, the LORD GOD made our bodies and our spirit His dwelling place. CHRIST JESUS, GOD, and the HOLY SPIRIT is inside our bodies, our hearts & minds (soul) and in our spirit.

Isaiah 52:12 For you will not go out with haste, nor will you go in flight [as was necessary when Israel left Egypt]; for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Isaiah 58:8 Then shall your light break forth like the morning, and your healing (your restoration and the power of a new life) shall spring forth speedily; your righteousness (your rightness, your justice, and your right relationship with God) shall go before you [conducting you to peace and prosperity], and the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not discern {and} understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?

1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own,

Colossians 1:27 To whom God was pleased to make known how great for the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ within {and} among you, the Hope of [realizing the] glory.

Colossians 3:16 Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] {and} dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish {and} train one another in all insight {and} intelligence {and} wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts.

All we need to do now is be conscious that the FULL GOD HEAD lives within us, that will keep us away from sin and do the righteousness that GOD intended us to do.

Philippians 2:13 [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure {and} satisfaction {and} delight.

As JESUS is, so are we.

1 John 4:17 In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion {and} attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], BECAUSE AS HE IS, SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD.
