The Promises Of God

Summary: • According to research, there are 8,810 promises in the Bible and 7,487 of them being promises made by God to humankind. • And based on the verse that we have read that no matter how many promises God has made, they are YES and AMEN.
Promises of God that we can claim and hold on to:
1. SALVATION THROUGH CHRIST.
a. John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
c. John 17:3
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
2. LOVE OF GOD
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
b. 1 John 3:1a
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Because of the LORD ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
3. FAITHFULNESS OF GOD.
if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
GOD IS FAITHFUL:
1. He will answer our prayers.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.
2. He will always provide.
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.
3. He will never change.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
