The Purpose Of Prophecy

Topic: THE PURPOSE OF PROPHECY

John 14:29 King James Version (KJV)

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Beloved, Prophecies, Word of knowledge and Word of wisdom are given to stir up believers' faith and to make them know what is ahead and what to do or understand what happened in the past.

The reason why God reveals the future to us, that is tells us things about to happen and subsequently makes us see it happening is to cause us to believe.

Beloved, the Prophecy, and it coming to pass is good and super but the aim of God is not just that, His ultimate aim is to cause you to believe in Jesus. That your faith would be stirred up.

Prophets and people who can prophesy are very important and needed in our lives, but we shouldn't miss the purpose of this office and it's associated duties.

The purpose does not include extortion, putting fear into people and enslaving people among many other negative purposes people use it for.

Beloved, it is your duty to study the Word of God and know what is in there into details so you can tell when a prophecy is coming from God or the "Man of God's" stomach.

The Lord says we should test all spirits, this means we need to be discerning. We don't have to be dummies sitting down to take in everything and follow anything at all.

Prophecies come in to encourage us, edify us, strengthen us, make us know Gods plan for us so that when the Prophetic word spoken comes to pass our faith would soar higher, we would be walking in the realms of great faith.

Beloved our faith is in Jesus, and when we live the *IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* life, we walk in higher realms of faith.

Prayer: Father give me the zeal to study your Word to know and live what you teach me in Jesus name. Amen.
