I. Deception (23-28)

B. Deceiving Miracles

1. Matthew 12:38-39a, “An evil and adulterous generation

seeketh after a sign;”

2. Matthew 7:21-23, “Many will say to me in that

day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy

name? and in thy name have cast out devils?

and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:

depart from me, ye that work iniquity”

C. Deceiving Places

1. False christs will copy His first coming

2. 2nd Coming will be different

a. Visible everywhere simultaneously (lightning)

b. Comparison of them as carcases

1. No life in them

2. Those who seek death will flock to them

II. Disruption (29)

A. End of tribulation when Jesus comes

B. Signs in the heavens by the hand of God

1. Joel 2:10-11, “The earth shall quake before them;

the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall

be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army:

for his camp is very great: for he is strong that

executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is

great and very terrible; and who can abide it?”

2. Revelation 6:13-14, “And the stars of heaven fell

unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her

untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled

together; and every mountain and island were moved

out of their places”

III. Disclosure (30-31)

A. Sign of the Son of Man in Heaven

1. Jesus Himself coming in the clouds

B. Gathering of the elect

1. ‘Elect’ – saved of the tribulation

a. Romans 11:26-27, “And so all Israel shall be saved:

as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the

Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from

Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I

shall take away their sins”

b. Jeremiah 24:7, “And I will give them an heart to

know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my

people, and I will be their God: for they shall

return unto me with their whole heart”

2. Will be gathered to Christ

a. Isaiah 43:5-7, “Fear not: for I am with thee: I will

bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from

the west; I will say to the north, Give up; and to

the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far,

and my daughters from the ends of the earth; Even

every one that is called by my name”
