The Tale of Twos

Matthew 7:21-29

In this life it is not only the American dream to live life to it’s fullest with absolute satisfaction, but it is the ambition of the world.

This parable is obviously speaking concerning the way in which we live our lives.

Title: The Tale of Twos

b. Each had to work to do so

c. Each had to make an investment

2. The Two Beliefs

When it comes to what one believes our society says there are many choices; Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Mormonism, Confucianism etc..,

The Bible says when it comes to life there are only two!

Mention: 1 Kings 18:21 How long halt ye between two opinions?

Joshua said…Choose ye this day whom ye will serve

• The Common Thing: The sayings of the Lord

Point: The world offers many ideas, suggestions, or avenues and with some basis of truth but with a great deal of falsehood.

When it comes to life and living we only have two choices! Christ or everything else!

These are the two foundations!

The Leaning Tower of Pisa: Sometime back a 25 million dollar renovation was done to it consisting of removing tons of dirt to reduce it’s famous lean by 16 inches in fear of it falling.

This was in result of this massive structure being built on an unstable foundation!

The Golden Gate Bridge: In swings back and forward over a 30 feet. Some say why doesn’t it fall?

It does not because of it’s foundation!

You can build your house (life) on sand or stone (rock) the choice is yours!

• The Common Thing: The Storm

Both houses were find until the storm came!

Mention: John 16:33 In the world ye shall have tribulations

See: Isaiah 28:15-19

Psalms 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm “The disciple in the boat”

Closing Points:

• The outcome could mean life or death

Vs.21-23

• The outcome will be success or failure

Vs.27 Great was the fall of it
