Summary: Jesus said-the words that I speak...they are spirit and they are life

Word is alive

Awesomeness of God. He created man, and gave him dominion of the earth, all the while knowing that we would fail. Raised up many leaders, prophets and kings throughout time, but none could live up to the law.

Jn. 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profits nothing, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

The words that I speak, are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus spoke the words of eternal life. Every word that came out of his mouth was alive. His words were containers of the power of heaven. There is power in the word of God, because it is not just knowledge and facts, but it is life its self.

Dt. 32:46-47 take heart to al of the words that I have declared nto you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words to you, they are your life.

1 Pet. 1: says the flower may fade……………..If we are to grow in our relationship w/Jesus, we have to realize that this word is alive, it is life giving.

Just as food is in the natural, so is the word of God in the spiritual. Heb. 4:12 quick and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword. David –lamp to my feet, and light……

God is a God of the word. He said, My word will not return unto me void, but it will accomplish that thing whereunto I sent it.

God is moved on behalf of his people by one thing, and one thing only, and that is faith.

And our faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

It is not just enough to say that you believe God, but to show that you believe him is what really gets him going. For the bible says faith without works is dead. When you look at the 11th chapter of Hebrews and you see all of the great tings that God did on behalf of his people, you will find one thing in common, they were moved by the word of God.
