What do I mean by this statement? That there will be "hell to pay" for some of our friends and foes if we don't get concerned about lost souls. There will be christians facing judgment and losing rewards because of lack of service for God. This story tells the fact about hell, the loneliness and the painfulness, even maybe by someone here today. This is a heart searching message, to the saved it means we need our burdens back, to the lost the decisions you make today may hurt you in the future. Remember there'll be "HELL TO PAY". Let's look at the results of the rich man's decision's. His pain and suffering.

First of all his (1) Torment-(v. 23), (2) Thirst (v.24), (3) Tested in Life- (v. 25), (4) Turned away (v. 26), (5) Troubled- (vs. 27-28), (6) Touched by his feelings (vs. 29-31).

Why There Will Be Hell To Pay! Because of the:

I. VISIONS THAT ARE BLURRED: (Mark 8:24) "And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking."

a) Time is plentiful

b) Too busy

c) Trusting others to do it.

II. VACATION BLUES: (Matthew 26:36-41) Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [wilt]. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh [is] weak.

a) Many are tired of the grind of service, and want a rest or vacation, it's not time to rest for the Bible says, "work for the night cometh when no man can work", in Heaven we will rest, but now we must work!!!!

b) Weary (Gal. 6:9) " And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not."

1) Stand Fast

2) Guard against fatigue

III. VICTORIES BLUNDERED: ( Matthew 26:69-76) Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before [them] all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And when he was gone out into the porch, another [maid] saw him, and said unto them that were there, This [fellow] was also with Jesus of Nazareth. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. And after a while came unto [him] they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art [one] of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee. Then began he to curse and to swear, [saying], I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Don't miss an opportunity to help others, if we do here are likely results.

a) Lost hindered

b) Loved ones left behind

c) Lord God saddened.
