This Is The Day

Summary: • Every new day is a blessing from the Lord. • Every time that we open our eyes every morning is a new beginning and an opportunity and privilege from the Lord. • This Psalm is centered on God, it expresses gratitude, joy and praise.
REJOICING ON GOD’S DAY:
1. GOD LOVES US
a. Psalm 118:1
1Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
3The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
22Because of the LORD ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
2. GOD IS WITH US
6The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
7The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies.
b. Hebrews 13:5
5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
3. GOD SAVES US AND GRANT US VICTORY.
15Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!
57But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
c. Rejoice and be glad because we are always on the winning side.
d. In Christ there is no defeat.
