Are you tired of mocking GOD in your hearts at one time?
II. AUDIENCE PROFILE:

III. OBJECTIVES:
To show that GOD will not get tired of our mockings.
IV. TEXT:
When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.
Pray that GOD's goodness will lead us to repentance.
V. THESIS:
We will never tire GOD of our mockings.
VI. TITLE:
Tired of Mocking Him?
VII. EXPLICATION:

C. Audience: Jews
D. Purpose: To show that JESUS is the Kingly Messiah of the Jewish Prophecy.
VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Highlights:
1. Even the strongest will get tired of mocking JESUS.
Example: the soldiers got tired of it and quit.
= mockery is included in CHRIST's suffering. (Isaiah 53:7)
He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth.
= He has taken all our shame (Psalms 25:3, Psalms 69:6)
No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.
Don’t let those who trust in you be ashamed because of me, O Sovereign Lord of Heaven’s Armies. Don’t let me cause them to be humiliated, O God of Israel.
= Messianic Psalms: mockings will happen (Psalms 22:7-8)
7 Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,
8 “Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”
Mock - kutyain, pagtawanan (form of persecution)
= All who wants to live godly will be persecuted. (2 Timothy 3:12)
Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
2. GOD will keep silent when you mock Him.
= Our Perfect and Infinite Example: our LORD JESUS (Isaiah 50:6)
I offered my back to those who beat me and my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard. I did not hide my face from mockery and spitting.
= The LORD bore our sins, shame and sacrifices in His body. (2 Corinthians 5:21, Isaiah 53:12, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5)
For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.
3. There are people who have crucified the LORD in their hearts (Hebrews 6:6)
and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.
= We have been crucified with Him (Galatians 2:20)
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
IX. CONCLUSION:
Accept the LORD who have been crucified for you and live a righteous life with Him.
