Summary: Prayer has great power. If we come together in unity and purpose our prayers can be more effective. Let us look at 10 rules to apply to our prayer life. There is no magic about prayer. Often when all is said about prayer, more is said than actual prayers prayed?

Thank you Doctor Joe Girdler for the fodder for this lesson.

Moses’ arms were tired, his hands were heavy. Moses had a good brother named AARON. History tells us that HUR was MIRIAM’S HUSBAND…

Exodus 17:12 But Moses' hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

UNITED WE STAND… DIVIDED WE FALL…

WE MUST COME TO THAT POINT THAT WE REALIZE THE POWER IN AGREEING IN PRAYER…

God designed us to pull together… SYNERGY… THE INCREASED EFFECTIVENESS THAT RESULTS WHEN TWO OR MORE PEOPLE WORK TOGETHER…

Look my friend: Adam and Eve? Naomi and Ruth? Paul and Barnabas? David and Jonathan? Royal Ranger and Tonto? Bert and Ernie?

Ecclesiastes 4:12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT) A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (MSG) By yourself you're unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn't easily snapped.

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (CEV) SOMEONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO BEAT UP ONE, BUT NOT BOTH OF YOU.

PRAYER AND FAITH ARE TEAM TOOLS, WHEN USED TOGETHER CAN ACCOMPLISH THE IMPOSSIBLE.

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

DON’T TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PROBLEMS, TELL ME ABOUT YOUR GOD… THE MORE YOU TALK ABOUT THE GIANT THE LARGER HE GROWS… 40 DAYS, TWICE A DAY … SAUL AND HIS ARMY TALKED HOW BIG GOLIATH WAS… A LITTLE BOY THAT NEVER HEARD THE NEGATION TALK, PICKS UP 5 STONES… GOLIATH AND 4 BROTHERS…

LETS POLISH OUR SKILLS IN TEAMWORK PRAYER…

1. The tool of ADORATION: to love, to admire, to worship, strong feeling of love… feeling great affection and devotion.

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

Philippians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

O, COME LET US ADORE HIM…

2. The tool of CONFESSION: admit, broken, weak, tired, lazy, bad attitudes, words that should not be spoken,

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

3. THE TOOL OF THANKSGIVING:

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

4. SUPPLICATION: BEING HUMBLE, to ask, to seek, to make an appeal, petition, please.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

5. USE THE TOOL OF PRAYING FOR THE LOST AND BACKSLIDDEN.

Pray for house hold salvation, sinners, marriages, harvest, open door, people being baptized.

6. PRAY WITH THE EARNEST PRAYER FOR RECONCILIATION: Let us find a way to bring togetherness, cause all to feel welcomed and friendly, to agree and quit disagreeing., to settle, resole, to submit.

Matthew 5:24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Colossians 1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

7. PRAY AND USE THE TOOL OF BREAKING UNFAITHFULNESS… THE GREAT FALLING AWAY…

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

8. THERE IS A TOOL OF PRAYING FOR WORKERS IN THE HARVEST.

Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
