A. A SEPARATED walk. (vv. 1-2) Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:1; Genesis 5:22, 24; 6:9; 17:1; 48:15; 2 Kings 20:3; Micah 6:8; Luke 1:6; Acts 9:31; Romans 8:1

1. An EXHORTATION to walk in the LORD Jesus. (v. 1a) Furthermore, we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the LORD Jesus Deuteronomy 5:33; 2 Corinthians 10:1; Ephesians 4:1, 17; 1 Thessalonians 2:11; Hebrews 10:24-25; 13:22; 2 Thessalonians 2:1; Philippians 1:27; Colossians 2:6

2. An ENDEAVOR to please God. (v.1b) that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God 1 Thessalonians 2:12; John 8:29; Romans 8:8; 12:2; Philippians 4:18; Colossians 1:10; 3:20; Hebrews 11:6; 13:16, 21; 1 John 3:22

3. Called to EXCEL in the Commandments of God. (vv. 1c-2) so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the LORD Jesus.
