“WHAT IS REVIVAL?”

REVELATION 2:5

1. Revival begins in me with a REMEMBRANCE. (v. 5a) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen 1 Kings 17:18; Psalm 46:10; Isaiah 14:12; 43:26-28; Ezekiel 16:61-63; 20:43; 21:23-24; 36:31; Hosea 14:1; Matthew 24:12; 1 Corinthians 4:17; Galatians 5:4; 1 Timothy 4:6; 5:12; 2 Timothy 2:14-15; Hebrews 10:32; 2 Peter 1:12-13; 3:1; Jude 1:5; Revelation 3:3, 19

2. Revival brings me to REPENTANCE. (v. 5b) and repent 1 Kings 8:47; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Job 42:6; Ezekiel 14:6; 18:30; Zechariah 1:3; Malachi 3:7; Matthew 3:2; 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 8:22-23; 17:30-31; 26:20; Revelation 2:16; 3:3, 19; 9:20-21; 16:9

3. Revival bestows in me a RESOLVE to obey Jesus Christ in everything I do. (v. 5c) and do the first works Deuteronomy 2:7; Isaiah 1:26; Jeremiah 2:2-3; Malachi 3:4; Luke 1:17; Philippians 3:16; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Titus 2:11-12; Ephesians 1:4; 2:10; 4:22-25; Isaiah 55:6-7; Ezekiel 33:14-15; Matthew 3:8-10; Romans 6:12-13, 19; 12:1-2; 13:12-13; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Colossians 1:22; 3:5-9; 1 Thessalonians 4:7; 1 John 2:15-17

4. Revival burdens my heart to avoid the danger of REMOVAL from continuing as a witness to Him.
